Michael Farlow, LPC, CMPC

Michael is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a wide range of expertise, offering assistance to individuals dealing with various presenting problems. His primary areas of focus are Mental Performance, Anxiety, Depression, and Couples Counseling focusing on clients aged 14 and older. With a compassionate and understanding approach, Michael provides support for his clients to navigate through life’s challenges and improve their overall well-being.

Michael earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northwest Missouri State, where he developed a deep understanding of human behavior and psychological principles. He then completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialized focus on sports counseling from Wichita State University. This specialized training equips him to work with athletes and performers, supporting their mental resilience and peak performance. 

Michael is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology, the leading standard for applied sport psychology professionals. His dedication to continuous learning and professional growth ensures that clients benefit from the most effective, evidence-based techniques available.

In his practice, Michael primarily utilizes solution-focused counseling and person-centered therapy, adapting his approach to meet each client’s unique needs. These evidence-based methods promote meaningful and lasting change. Michael is under the supervision of Dr. Glenda Lawless as he progresses toward full clinical licensure.
