Emily is a counseling intern! She is currently completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wichita State University. She provides counseling services under the supervision of Tina Grzeskiewicz, LCP, LCAC.

Emily is open to working with adolescents ages 15 and older and adults with a variety of presenting concerns. She is particularly interested in supporting individuals experiencing life transitions, depression, anxiety, self-esteem concerns, and difficulties with stress management.

Before entering the counseling profession, Emily worked with children and adolescents experiencing crisis and a variety of behavioral and mental health needs, including youth in foster care, individuals with autism, and those receiving inpatient mental health treatment. These experiences contributed to her interest in supporting adolescents and adults as they navigate difficult experiences, changing roles, and significant adjustments to change.

Emily takes a compassionate and collaborative approach to counseling and believes clients are the experts on their own lives. She strives to meet clients where they are while building a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship. Her goal is to provide an environment where clients feel heard, better understand their experiences, develop effective coping skills, and work toward meaningful change.

Emily primarily provides individual counseling, although working with you, family members may be incorporated into sessions when clinically appropriate and beneficial to the client’s treatment.
